THE SPIRIT OF DOMINION

BIBLE READING: GENESIS 1:26-28; PSALMS 115:16; PSALM 8:1-6

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, “I believed, and therefore have I spoken,” we also believe, and therefore speak.” 2Corinthians 4:13(KJV)

The Dominion Mandate is our Universal right as regenerated man. The Scripture says: “And God said, let Us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness and let them have dominion…” (Gen. 1:26). The Image of God is the Divine Nature (the Character of God) while the Likeness of God is Divine Functionality or the Wisdom of God. However, it is imperative to note that Dominion is a spirit and is called the Spirit of Faith (2Cor. 4:15). The Spirit of Faith is what enables the believer to do exploits as well as exercise Dominion on Earth.

The Spirit of Dominion is activated by fellowshipping with God. This creates the Environment where the Faith of God is imputed into our spirit. (Mk. 11:22) Secondly, the Spirit of Faith is also activated by Revelation Knowledge because faith comes from hearing and hearing of God’s Word (Rom. 10:17) In other words, the Foundation of Faith is Revelation as stated in the Bible: “God told Moses, “See (perceive, understand) that I have made you a god unto Pharaoh…” (Ex. 7:1). There are certain revelations that impart within us the Spirit of Dominion:

(1.) The Revelation of Jesus Christ: The more we know Him, the more we discover our self and our identity in Him, hence the Scripture declares “But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” (Dan. 11:32).

(2.) The Revelation of the New Creation Realities: This refers to our Right Standing with Him and our Position in Christ. (Eph. 2:5-6).

(3.) The Revelation of the Authority of the Believer: The Christian believer possesses the Power of Attorney whereby we can fully represent God on Earth. (Lk. 10:17-19; Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 1:18-25)

In conclusion, when Moses sent twelve spies to go and spy on the Canaan Land that God promised them, they came back with ten of them bringing an evil report. However, Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit which was the Spirit of Dominion. As a result, they quieted the people and testified that even though there were giants in the land, they would become bread for them since their defence had departed from them. (Num. 14:6-9). God testified that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit (Num.14:14). May the Lord testify the same concerning us as we utilize the Spirit of Dominion.

PRAYER:

Ask God to grant you the Spirit of Revelation and Dominion. Let Him impart into our spirits the 7 Spirits of God as we countdown to the Great Tribulation that will try the faith of all believers on Earth.
