“In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth…. And God said, Let Us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness: and let them have dominion….” Genesis 1:1, 26(NKJV)

Everyone that believes in God also believes He is the Creator of the whole universe. He created us in His Own Image (Character) and Likeness (Functionality). This means that the same creative abilities resident in God are also resident within us. That is why even though God provided man with food after creating him, He didn’t provide every other thing he would need. This was because man has an inherent capacity to create anything else he would need.

Since the creation of man, human beings have created mind-blowing things and are still in the process of creating: from the invention of the wheel to the invention of the automobile, from the invention of sliced bread to the invention of mechanized agriculture. From the creation of the telegraph to that of the internet and so on. Human beings have continued to create till date. Whatever we can imagine we can also create and achieve. (Gen.11:6, Eph. 3:20).

The question would be thus: How come a lot of people, including Christians, are still stranded and doing without when they can create the things they need? The answer is ignorance, Ignorance of their creative potential and an understanding of how to engage the creative process.

There are three main ingredients in the creative process:
(1.) Your imagination.
(2.) The spoken word.
(3.) Execution or work.

Begin now to imagine the things you want to achieve, speak them into existence and then go out and begin to implement the strategies you have developed to actualize them. You are a creator man!

Lord, give us a revelation of our creative capacity and an understanding of the creative processes involved that we may accomplish all that You have put in our hearts to accomplish for Your Kingdom and our nation in Jesus’ Name. Amen
