“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; the Fear of the Lord is His Treasure.” Isaiah 33:6 (NKJV).

Life as we know it is not a bed of roses. It is a known fact that life gives one what one demands rather than what one deserves. The Scripture tells us this clearly: “I returned and saw under the sun that—The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all” (Ecc. 9:11). From this we can see that provision is not necessarily a guarantee for those who are naturally wise. The same, however, cannot be said for those who have access to Divine Wisdom.

In this part of the world, we have heard of PhD holders caught stealing staple foods such as yam as a result of severe hunger. There have also been cases of first class degree holders who run from pillar to post, seeking odd jobs just to stay alive. Such is the failing and futility of natural wisdom which “does not descend from above, but is Earthly, sensual, demonic” (Jam. 3:15). However, the Wisdom of God is one of the greatest keys to all-round stability in life and ministry. Every problem in life is basically a wisdom problem, hence the Bible tells us that “the labour of fools wearies them, for they do not even know how to go to the city” (Ecc. 10:15).

Divine Wisdom always has a solution for any issue life throws our way. King Solomon received Wisdom from the Lord God Almighty which launched him and the entire Nation of Israel into unprecedented wealth, so much so that both silver and gold were as common as stones during his reign (see 2 Chron. 1:15).

While talking about the Lord God Almighty —Who is the Personification of Wisdom, the prophet Isaiah tells us that “He is your Constant Source of Stability…” (Isa. 33:6a NET). Allow this Truth to sink in for a moment. Only the Wisdom of God can give us constant stability in the midst of chaos and a quagmire of confusion. Hallelujah.

Father in Heaven, we thank You for the Gift of Your Wisdom to us. When men say there is a casting down, we will constantly say there is a lifting because we know what we ought to do per time. We exalt You in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
