BIBLE READING: JOB 14:7-9; EZEKIEL 37:1-10; MARK 11:22-24

“So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” (Ezekiel 37:10)

On a daily basis, we face impossible situations which threaten to take away our peace. Man is by nature self-sufficient, which is why we tend to chart our course in life with well laid out plans (see Prov.19:21) However, the Lord God Almighty often delights in allowing us face insurmountable setbacks that serve as a reminder that “By strength, no man shall prevail.”(1Sam.2:9) He is a Specialist in hopeless situations so that He alone may take the credit for the turnaround to come.

Ezekiel the prophet was faced with an equally hopeless situation. The Bible tells us not only that the valley was full of dry bones but also that “indeed, they were very dry.”(Ezek.37:3) The bones in the valley were totally disjointed and void of any trace of moisture, indicating years of desolation. Surely there was no remedy for this, any sensual rational being would conclude! But not so with God, Who fetches water with a basket in other to put the bucket to shame. The Scripture tells us emphatically that “with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37) With the prophetic command given by God and the Move of the Spirit, each bone located its bone no matter how far away, finally paving the way for the emergence of an exceeding great army. (see Ezek.37:10)

Are there issues or challenges that face you squarely, looking extremely impossible to overcome? Remember the Lord Himself is still asking this question: “Is anything too hard for the Lord?(Gen.18:14a) One major key to activating the prophetic is the Hand of the Lord which must come upon you to make your words effective. The Earth may be without form and void, and darkness upon the face of the deep, but as long as the Spirit of God hovers over the troubled waters of your life, there would definitely be a turnaround. (see Gen.1:3)

Heavenly Father, You are the Incredible God of impossibilities. O Lord, I commit my valley of dry bones into Your Able Hands and believe You for a Mighty Intervention in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
