“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12(NKJV).

Whenever you are studying the Word of God, especially in order to deal with specific issues, take note of the Words or verses that seem to jump out of the pages and burn in your heart. Those Words are likely to be the Words that God is speaking directly to you. The Words and promises of God in the scripture are there for you. Receive them; personalise them and make them your compass. Be guided by them and act on them. That is how to unleash the all-conquering power of God in any situation.

The surest way to walk by faith is to stand upon whatever God’s Word says concerning a situation and refusing to shift from it, irrespective of what circumstances or people may be saying. Even when you are threatened or faced with danger because of what you believe, do not compromise or shift grounds away from God’s Word.

God will never abandon anyone who stands firmly upon His Word. He did not abandon Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who stood with Him and were thrown into the furnace of fire. He did not abandon Daniel who stood with His Word and was thrown into the den of lions. He did not abandon Joseph who refused to defile himself with the adulterous offer of his master’s wife. These ones faced extreme danger, but God not only delivered them but also promoted them highly in the end. God has magnified His Word above all His names (Psalms 138:2).

Peter walked on water, but he actually planted his feet upon the Word of Jesus that said to him- “Come” (Matt. 14:29).

You will never sink when you plant your feet upon God’s Word.

• Banish the spirit of fear and declare that God has given you the spirit of love, power and sound mind.

• Pray that God’s will be done everywhere on earth as it is done in Heaven.

I am not moved by what I see or hear; I am only moved by the Word of God to do His will always.
